The HomeGlide straight rail can be fitted with a powered hinge which can be used when the rail comes close to a door or similar obstacle.
Thyssen stairlifts are fitted with a manual swivel seat as standard operated by a simple paddle lever. A powered swivel seat is also available as an optional extra.
All Thyssen stairlifts come with two handy infa-red remote controls. Particularly useful when there are two users of the stairlift.
All Thyssen stairlifts are fitted with pressure sensitive safety edges as standard. Should the stairlift encounter an obstruction while travelling it will automatically stop.
For your safety all Thyssen stair lifts are fitted as standard with a retractable inertia seatbelt.

Functionality & Versatility
Homeglide's simplicity allows the stairlift to be installed in your home very quickly. Fitted directly onto your stairs cleanly and discretely, the stairlift glides swiftly along an aluminium track. The Homeglide is operated with an easy to use "soft-touch" joystick, simply move the joystick left or right depending on whether you would like to go up or down your staircase.
The Homeglide is powered by a long life rechargeable battery which is recharged simply by plugging into your nearest wall socket. For even more convenience, Homeglide is available with 2 remote controls. The slim design handsets can also be positioned at the top and bottom of your stairs to allow you to call you stairlift to you at any time and this makes it easy for additional members of your household to use the stairlift.
Comfort & Safety
Should anything get in the way of the stairlift as you are operating it, there are safety sensors on the footplate and the carriage that will immediately stop the lift. A dual braking system makes Homeadapt stairlifts among the safest in the world. The electromagnetic braking system is complemented by a self-locking gearbox and over speed brake which completely ensures your safety. The Homeadapt stairlifts are equipped with an offset swivel function which allows the seat to turn fully, leaving no gap between the seat and the landing. The allows the user to dismount with both feet firmly on the floor.
